Summer Scripture Challenge

Since I began preparing for our weekly bible studies for the Summer Scripture Challenge (beginning June 4), I could not for the life of me focus in on any one topic or study guide. So I pulled out this Verve Stamp and made another 3x5 scripture card ... and prayed for God to not only guide me, but to make it clear to me when He did! I actually said these words "... hit me over the head with it, Lord!" Have you ever prayed that prayer?! This stamped scripture verse was cut with Spellbinders Labels Four, and then stamped with PaperTrey's Polka Dot Basics. The verse is pop-dotted up and embellished with pink rhinestones. And I am trusting God!

oh wow--this is really, REALLY lovely! i enjoy your combination of funkiness and elegance A LOT--distressed edges and bling...what's not to ♥loooove♥ right?!

(ps: i'm not a religious person myself, but i have ~DEEP~ respect for a prayer that goes, "hit me over the head with it lord"!!! that'd make a rather nice hymn, too, actually, i think!) :)

Hi Kay!! This is a lovely card!!
You asked how I cut out my flowers from the Papertrey Ink set... With realllllllly sharp scissors and I find if I move the paper instead of the scissors while I am cutting that helps alot.

This is awesome Kay!! I have no doubt the Lord will "hit you over the head" and "guide you by the nose" to where you need to be & do what you need to do ... never fear, the Lord is here!!!

I actually pulled this same designer paper out of my stash yesterday but put it back because it was "too pretty" to use ... is that "sick" or what ... who am I saving it for??? It worked perfectly for this creation and I just LOVE that sentiment ... awesome job!

ok - so i'm curious, do you carry this around with you? do you bundle it up w/ other cards? and if so, how? in a scrapbook style thing? curious minds want to know... i'm loving this!

Hi Lori! Right now, I slide these little 3x5 scripture cards into a clear recipe sleeve and yes, I carry it around with me (set it on my desk at work, set it on the dash of my car, etc). I won't keep them in the plastic protective sleeves forever. My plan is to have them spiral bound at Kinkos when I get enough of them done, so I'll have a mini spiral book to carry around, flip to various scriptures and memorize them one spiral bound book at a time!
